Sherlock employs the only AWCI (American Wall & Ceiling Institute) certified EIFS inspector on the western side of the state.


Fortified...For Safer Living (IBHS) Inspections
Among the changes made in the Uniform Construction Code by the State of Louisiana following hurricanes Katrina and Rita was the adoption of the 'optional' construction manual "Fortified...For Safer Living" which was produced by the Institute for Business and Home Safety (IBHS).  Sherlock is certified by IBHS to conduct these inspections for home builders who want their dwellings to qualify for special insurance discounts available from certain carriers.  Compliance wth this building manual also results in a dwelling that is much more resistant to hurricane force winds and floods.


ICF (insulated concrete forms) inspections


Wind Mitigation Survey
This is an alternative to Fortified (IBHS) inspections that can be completed on existing dwellings for those homeowners who are interested in qualifying for a 25% rate reduction on the wind mitigation portion of their homeowners insurance policy.
